The 1919 Cunningsburgh County Council By-Election took place on Thursday 23 February. Following the death of Francis H. Pottinger, both Laurence Anderson and James Laing were petitioned by the local as replacements, with Anderson winning the council vote despite Laing receiving a much larger petition.
