Arthur Buchanan

Arthur Buchanan of Sound (d. between 1677 and 1681) was a landowner and member of the Parliament of Scotland in 1667 for Orkney and Shetland. He was a supporter of uniting the Scottish and English Parliament, and owned land throughout the West Mainland of Orkney, as well as Shapinsay, most of Stronsay and North Ronaldsay.

In 1677, he was the "largest ratepayer" in Kirkwall (£14 14 shillings).

He was married to Margaret Buxtoun.
