George Linklater (b. 6 February 1771, Tingwall, d. 5 July 1818, Lerwick) was a merchant in Lerwick and the first junior magistrate to the Lerwick Town Council in April 1818, however this was short lived as he passed away a mere three months after getting elected.

Joseph Leask was a trainee at Linklater's business.
