James Hannah Brownlie (b. 6 June 1897, Hamilton, d. 21 November 1967, Bothwell) was a grocery manager and a Lerwick Town Councillor between 1946 and 1949.

Personal Life

James was the son of Thomas and Annie Hannah (d. September 1944, Calderhead) and was married to Sarah 'Sadie' Dalziel (b. 1899 Ayr, d. 10 October 1968, Bothwell).

James was the manager of the local Co-op grocery store in Shetland when it was located where Frank Williamson's now stands. He lived in the flat above the shop and was in Shetland from the early 40's until 1949.
