James Hunter (b. 21 November 1850, Lerwick, d. 16 June 1908, Edinburgh) was an accountant, musician and Lerwick Town Councillor. His father, Samuel Hunter, was also a councillor in Lerwick.

Biography

James worked for the Union Bank first in Lerwick, then in Edinburgh before returning back to Lerwick, working under Alexander Mitchell.
