James Mouat (b. 9 September 1764, Wormadale, Tingwall, d. 25 January 1852, Lerwick) was a grocer, house proprietor and Lerwick Town Councillor.
He was a distant relative of Robert Stewart, Earl of Orkney (6th Great-grandfather).
His son James and his grandson, James Mouat Goudie, were also Lerwick Town Councillors.
