Robert Deans (b. 18 August 1754, East Lothian, d. 24 April 1834, Lerwick) was a merchant in Lerwick. He came to Shetland for the repair of Fort Charlotte on 24th March 1781, and was appointed tacksman at Gremista. He was also a Town Councillor between 1818 and 1820, and again from 1823 to 1829.

In 1791, he was tasked to draw up plans for a Poorhouse with John Murray.

In 1815 he was employed by Feuars and Heritors.
