William Gray Thomson (b. 7 March 1925, Baltasound, Unst, d. 2 March 1993, Twatt) was briefly a County Councillor for Unst North between 1973 and 1975,

He unsuccessfully contested the Unst seat at the inaugural Shetland Islands Council election in 1974.
