Alexander Tulloch

Alexander Irvine 'AI' Tulloch (b. 16 December 1904, Lerwick, d. 3 May 1986, Lerwick) was the proprietor of Tulloch's of Shetland, a hosiery and knitwear shop in Lerwick, also owner of Linkshouse Stores in Mid Yell and a County Councillor for Sandsting between 1955 and 1974. When, in 1974 the County Council reformed as the Shetland Islands Council, Tulloch represented Aithsting And Sandsting until his death, one day before the 1986 SIC election.

He is said to have begun every morning with a swim in the sea, even in his later years.

He unsuccessfully contested the 1934 Lerwick Town Council election.
