'''John Bannatyne Anderson''' (b. [[1853]], [[Lerwick]], d. 16 March [[1938]], [[Lerwick]]) was a solicitor and [[County Council]]lor who represented [[Lerwick North (Constituency)|Lerwick North]] between the years of [[1890]] and [[1901]], [[Northmavine South (Constituency)|Northmavine South]] from [[1901]] to [[1904]] and [[Sandsting (Constituency)|Sandsting]], [[1904]]-[[1907]]. He was also a [[Lerwick Town Council]]lor between [[1886]] and [[1889]].

He founded the Lerwick based firm Anderson & Goodlad in 1882. 

His brother, [[Robert Anderson (ii)|Robert]], was a [[Lerwick Town Councillor]].
