His son, [[Andrew Garriock|Andrew]] was a [[Zetland County Council]]lor in Northmavine.

==Biography==
He opened business with James Mouat, as a commission agent. He was an agent for the New Zealand New Shipping Company, one of the principal promoters of the North Sea Fisheries Company, Lerwick Gas Light Company & Distributor of Stamps. He was also an inspector of the poor, and Clerk to the School Board for 9 years.
