'''Samuel Dunn Hunter''' (b. 25 June [[1824]], [[Lerwick]], d. 2 February [[1858]], Lerwick) was a merchant and [[Lerwick Town Council]]lor between [[1850]] until his death in [[1858]].

Hunter's father, [[James Hunter (i)|James]] was a councillor from [[1835]] to [[1847]]. Two of Samuel's sons, [[James Hunter (ii)|James]] and [[Robert Hunter (i)|Robert]], were also councillors.
