John George Shewards Irvine (b. 10 March 1859, Borough, Whalsay, d. 25 July 1913, New Zealand) was a grocer and Lerwick Town Councillor from 1901 until he resigned in December 1909.
Biography
John had a business, Thomson & Co. Provision Merchants with Laurence Thomson, from which he retired in 1904. Laurence kept the business running under the same name.
In February 1905, John set up the Zetland Liberal Association with Alex Mitchell.
