John spend his entire working life in the service of the North of Scotland (later Clydesdale) Bank. He joined the bank as an apprentice, and worked on the mainland for some years. John Nicolson Inkster (b. 1 February 1887, North Roe, Northmavine, d. 23 December 1971, Lerwick) was a bank manager in Lerwick and a Lerwick Town Councillor.

Biography

John spend his entire working life in the service of the North of Scotland (later Clydesdale) Bank. He joined the bank as an apprentice, and worked on the mainland for some years. He returned to Shetland as manager of the Lerwick branch in 1936 and remained in position until he retired in 1947.
