James Budge (b. 23 January 1868, Bigton, Dunrossness, d. 17 February 1940, Bigton, Dunrossness) was a County Councillor for Dunrossness North between 1907 and 1922.
He was the grandfather of former Shetland Islands Councillor, Jim.
Biography
James became the head of the Budge farm at Dunrossness after the death of his father in 1899 and farmed there for over 30 years. He was involved in the Dunrossness Nursing Association and was secretary for several years. After the death of William McDougall in 1937, James was the President of the Dunrossness Agricultural Society.
