Alexander 'Alex' Morrison (b. 25 September 1914, Lerwick, d. 29 October 1980, Lerwick) was proprietor of a grocer/greengrocer/confectioner retail shop in Brown's Buildings, Lerwick which traded under the name "Alex Morrison", and which continues today trading as "Morrisons".

He was a Lerwick Town Councillor between the years from 1945 until his death in 1980, a stalwart of the Labour cause. Morrison Dock which was completed in 1981 is named after him.

His father, John was a stonemason, builder and Lerwick Town Councillor, and his 3rd cousin George was a Zetland County Councillor.
