Peter Garriock (b. 7 October 1826, Lerwick, d. 8 July 1885, Lerwick) was a ship owner and Lerwick Town Councillor between 1859 and 1871.
His son, Andrew was a Zetland County Councillor in Northmavine.
Biography
He opened business with James Mouat, as a commission agent. He was an agent for the New Zealand New Shipping Company, one of the principal promoters of the North Sea Fisheries Company, Lerwick Gas Light Company & Distributor of Stamps. He was also an inspector of the poor, and Clerk to the School Board for 9 years.
