Brough Lodge in Fetlar was built by the Nicholson family in 1825.
In April 2007, the Brough Lodge Trust announced plans to refurbish the old A grade mansion. The Plans, with an estimated cost of £3.2m, have already received funding of £500,000 from Historic Scotland, had a setback in January 2008 when funding constraints from other sources were announced, which may delay the project.
