Samuel Dunn Hunter (b. 25 June 1824, Lerwick, d. 2 February 1858, Lerwick) was a merchant and Lerwick Town Councillor between 1850 until his death in 1858.
Hunter's father, James was a councillor from 1835 to 1847. Two of Samuel's sons, James and Robert, were also councillors.
