Bayanne.info is a website run and maintained by Liz and Tony Gott, it's primary feature being a vast database of Shetland's genealogy, including those who were born, died, lived or worked in Shetland. The website has over 400,000 listings as of 17 October 2016, and is the most thorough, freely-available genealogical directory of the Isles.
The listings vary from person to person, but most individuals have a first name, surname and gender listed. Other information can be included on the profiles, including parents, children, marriage, residence, census data, occupation and even in some cases religion.
The information is updated regularly.
