Robert Anderson (ii)
Robert Charles Jack 'Bob' Anderson (b. 1839, Lerwick, d. 15 February 1921, Lerwick) was a draper, hosier, co-founder of Anderson & Company and Lerwick Town Councillor between 1871 and 1874.

Biography
Upon leaving school, Robert joined the business of his uncle, Robert Linklater, who was one of the leading hosiery dealers in Shetland. When Robert's business expanded into Edinburgh, Robert temporarily relocated there to help establish the new premises which continued until the death of Robert in 1872.
Robert continued to run the firm for 12 years after his uncle's passing, before eventually joining his younger brother Thomas in forming the Messrs Anderson & Co. As of 2024, a business in Lerwick still trades under the Anderson & Co name.
