Erling Johan Fredrik Clausen (b. 3 June 1904, 16 Christines Gade, Bergen, d. 28 Jun 1984, Lerwick) was an insurance supervisor and Lerwick Town Councillor. His father, Frederick Wilhelm Clausen, was a Norwegian shipbroker who married Elizabeth Stout.

Biography

Erling worked in the insurance industry. In 1938, he took up a position in Thurso and left the council. In Thurso, he was a member of the Thurso Town Council in the 1940s.

In WWII, he was appointed to the rank of Pilot Officer in Thurso Air Training Corps.
