Arthur White

Arthur White (b. 2 August 1874, Innhouse, North Delting, d. 21 December 1940, Laxobigging, Delting) was a factor to the Busta estate and a County Councillor first for Northmavine South from 1904 until 1907, then Delting South from 1913 to 1919.
In 1904, he also stood for the Delting North seat but was not elected. He tried again in 1907 for Delting North but failed again. He also unsuccessfully contested the 1924 Northmavine North County Council by-election.
Biography
After leaving school, Arthur worked with Thomas Gifford of Busta. Upon Gifford's death in 1899, Arthur took over as factor on the Busta estate and held that position until his death.
During WWI, Arthur was responsible for organising the Home Guard at Brae and was a registrar in the same area.
