Andrew Anderson

Andrew Irvine Anderson (b. 9 May 1916, Lerwick, d. 19 November 1986, Lerwick) worked in Home Furnishings and was a Lerwick Town Councillor.
Biography
Andrew achieved the rank of Warrant Officer in the army, and once he was demobbed he returned to Lerwick to start Home Furnishings, a homeware shop, with his brother Laurence 'Lol'.
He was an elder of St Ringan's church, and the Session Clerk of the Lerwick and Bressay Parish church, a position he held until 1985.
In 1974, he was the chairman of the Shetland Chamber of Commerce and helped found the Rotary Club of Shetland in 1972. He held the Presidency of that group in 1976 and 1977.
