Charles Stobie

Reverend Charles M. Stobie (b. 26 December 1847, Keiss, Caithness, d. 9 December 1935, Ferryport-on-Craig Manse, Tayport, Fife) was a minister in Whalsay and Zetland County Councillor.
He represented the Whalsay Church of Scotland from 1876 until 1910 when he was appointed as Chaplin to the Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen.
He was also a keen photographer and probably one of the few on Whalsay who possessed one in that era. Many pictures taken by him are on the Shetland Museum and Archives photo archive, one of which is linked to below.
