Peter Guy

Peter Newlyn Guy (b. Apr 1939, Rochford Essex, d. 11 Oct 2018, Darlington) is an author and former Shetland Islands Councillor for Yell South from 1993 to 1996.

Biography

Peter first came to Shetland in 1975 when he was posted to Saxa Vord while serving with the R.A.F. He left in 1976 but returned in 1979 when he became Sullom Voe's external affairs superintendent. After leaving that job, he was elected to the Shetland Islands Council. In 1996, he left Shetland having bought a farm in Yorkshire.
