'''Amanda Youngman''' (neé Diamond) (b. January 31 [[1914]], Greenock, d. 1 October [[2001]], Ellon) was a nurse and a [[County Council]]lor for [[Yell North (Constituency)|Yell North]] from [[1955]] until [[1961]].

She was first married to John W. Regate in [[1937]] in Marylebone, London. She later married William Robert Youngman, but he died in [[1959]] in Lerwick aged 69. Her son, Robin, was born at the Gilbert Bain Hospital in [[1945]] and married Wilma Iris Ewen Ross in 1968, Aberdeen.

She unsuccessfully contested the Yell North seat at the [[County_Council_Election_May_1961#Yell_North|1961 County Council election]].
