'''Thomas Anderson''' (b. 3 November [[1855]], [[Hillswick]], d. 19 December [[1936]], Pahiatua, New Zealand) was a merchant and a livestock breeder, dealer and exporter. He was also a [[County Council]]lor first for [[Northmavine South (Constituency)|Northmavine South]] between [[1890]] and [[1901]], then [[Northmavine North (Constituency)|Northmavine North]] from [[1907]] to [[1913]]. His mother, Eupehemia Anderson (neé Merrylees) was the daughter of [[William Merrylees]], who was a [[Lerwick Town Council]]lor. His cousin [[Charles Merrylees|Charles]] was also a councillor in Lerwick.

He emigrated to New Zealand in [[1922]].
