Thomas Anderson (b. 3 November 1855, Hillswick, d. 19 December 1936, Pahiatua, New Zealand) was a merchant and a livestock breeder, dealer and exporter. He was also a County Councillor first for Northmavine South between 1890 and 1901, then Northmavine North from 1907 to 1913. His mother, Eupehemia Anderson (neé Merrylees) was the daughter of William Merrylees, who was a Lerwick Town Councillor. His cousin Charles was also a councillor in Lerwick.
He emigrated to New Zealand in 1922.
