Hugh Robertson

Hugh Jamieson Robertson (b. 4 October 1868, Weisdale, 15 January 1932, Lerwick) was a woolen draper, a Lerwick Town Councillor from 1916 to 1919, and County Councillor for Sandsting between 1910 and 1919.

He unsuccessfully contested the Whiteness & Weisdale seat in the 1904 County Council election. and the 1919 Lerwick Town Council election.

His uncle John was also a County Councillor.

Biography

In 1894 he started the business Smith & Robertson with William Smith.
