Gilbert Harrison

Gilbert Harrison (b. 12 June 1832, Baltasound, Unst, d. 14 May 1912, Lerwick) was a wine and spirit merchant, and a Lerwick Town Councillor.

His son-in-law, John W. Robertson, was Convener of the Zetland County Council and his grandson, Lindsay Robertson, was a councillor for Unst North.

Biography

He was for 16 years a Trustee of the Feuars and Heritors and in the council he was the chair of the Lighting and Cleansing Committee for many years.
