Barbara Ann 'Brannie' Anderson B.E.M. (b. 18 July 1895, Yell, d. 28 July 1987, Lerwick) was a postmaster and County Councillor for Burra from 1970 to 1972.
Biography
Barbara was founding member of the WRI in Lerwick. She was the President and Secretary of the War Savings Group
She was awarded a British Empire Medal in 1968 for her part in the SWRI savings movement. By 1968, she had been the honorary secretary for 26 years.
She was involved in the local drama scene.
