Dr. James Cameron Bowie (b. 8 November 1867, Lerwick, d. 3 February 1932, Aithsting was a doctor and County Councillor for Sandsting between 1928 and 1930. He also was an unsuccessful candidate for Sandsting in 1910 and Aithsting in both 1913 and 1915.
He was the first President of the Walls and District Agricultural Society, founded in 1913.
He unsuccessfully contested the 1915 Aithsting County Council by-election.
His first cousin, Frederick Tait, was also a Zetland County Councillor.
