Cecil Laing Smith (b. 22 September 1946, Levenwick) is a councillor for the Shetland Islands Council ward Lerwick South, former Policeman and proprietor of Star Rent-A-Car.

Political Career

Smith was first elected in the 2007 Shetland Islands Council election for Lerwick South, a four-member ward, together with Gussie Angus, Cecil Eunson and Jim Henry. In 2012, he was successfully re-elected to serve Lerwick South with Peter Campbell, Amanda Westlake and Jonathan Wills.
