John Morrison (b. 21 August 1753, Kenmore, Perth, d. 16 April 1821, Lerwick) was a wright, merchant and a Lerwick Town Councillor. He was married to Barbara Anderson, sister of Arthur Anderson.
He arrived in Shetland with Robert Deans, who also became a town councillor, to work on Fort Charlotte. John built a pier, which due to a legal ruling was declared illegal, and led to his ultimate downfall. This contentious pier later became Victoria Pier, which remains the name for the largest pier in Lerwick Town Centre.
