Sinclair Duncan

Sinclair Thomson Duncan (b. 21 April 1827, Hoswick, Sandwick, d. 6 February 1927, Seaview House, Hoswick) was for a time a wholesale merchant at Leith, and subsequently a travelling commission agent. He returned to Hoswick in the 1870s. Duncan was elected to serve as a County Councillor for Sandwick from 1890 to 1904.
Duncan was also the leader of the salvors in the Hoswick Whale Case.
