James Henderson Sutherland (b. 11 March 1847, Papil, Unst, d. 23 March 1918, Newhaven, Sussex) was a fishcurer and County Councillor.
Biography
Though born in Unst, James moved to Lerwick as a young man and spent time between both areas.
James worked for some time with D. & J. Sutherland, merchants in Unst. His son John was a well known heraldic artist in Edinburgh.
In 1892, James was appointed as Postmaster in Unst.
