George Ross

George Ross (b. 2 May 1901 New Road, Scalloway, d. 12 May 1974, Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick) was a County Councillor for Tingwall between 1945 and 1950. He lived in Thule Cottage in Scalloway, his parents property which they both passed away in between 1948 and 1950.
His obituary in the 1974 Zetland County Council minutes on 21 May notes that he continued to be involved in public life outside of Shetland following his stint on the ZCC.
