The 1921 Lerwick Town Council By-Election occurred on Tuesday 11 June. Following the resignation of James John Pottinger, James M Goodlad and William Bruce were both nominated by the council and when put to a vote, they both received 5 votes each. This caused the provost to cast the deciding vote, which elected Goodlad.
