James McCullie (b. 11 June 1856, Lochee, Dundee, d. After May 1929) was a school teacher and County Councillor for Aithsting between 1892 and 1895.
An argument erupted at the first Zetland County Council election concerning the seat that James McCullie was contesting. The argument centered around the electoral roll and nominations. James beat Archibald Garriock by 44 votes to 2, but the Council wound up appointing Archibald over James.
On 18 April 1924, the McCullies emigrated to Canada.
